Constanze and Frederik had a fairytale summer wedding in the Doetinchem area.
Constanze and Frederik are from Hamburg, but choose the beautiful area of Doetinchem as the backdrop for their wedding. As a regional wedding photographer, I know about the special places this area has to offer and capture couples here at their most beautiful. Consequently, a number of photos were awarded a This is Reportage Award. For both the saying yes, the photo shoot, and the party, there are many beautiful locations to choose from. And so why go for one location? This beautiful bride and groom must have thought so, too. The wedding day was spread over three locations. All equally beautiful and equally photogenic.
I have blogged about getting-ready before. It often takes place at the bride’s (parents’) home, but you can also choose an upscale, festive venue. Constanze chose the tea dome of hotel Villa Ruimzicht. The ladies from Cool hair and makeup completed the look. Over drinks, the day began in celebration.
Constanze and Frederick chose not to see each other for the first time until the ceremony. Constanze arrived by carriage with royal allure. Then Frederick only saw his bride for the first time that day “before the altar,” in front of all the guests. A unique, emotional moment that I lovingly captured.
In recent years, hosting a wedding at home has become increasingly popular. The personal atmosphere, a free hand in what the party will look like and familiar surroundings make not only the bride and groom, but also the guests feel right at home. The same was true of Constanze and Frederick. At Frederick’s parents’ house in the garden, the wedding party was celebrated under a cozy tipi tent. The cool drone shots give a great overview of the cozy, loving and warm party.
In the video slideshow, you can hear and see that on this beautiful day, love was fully celebrated until the wee hours of the morning.
